Lynette is very involved in serving her local community. She currently holds office on the State Executive Committee for the American Constitution Party and represented Colorado as a delegate at the National Constitution Party Convention in 2016, is the Vice-Chairman for the Weld ACP, Vice President for the North East Colorado Peace Officer Association, has held the offices of Treasurer, Secretary, and Parade Coordinator for the Weld County Sheriff Posse and is in the State Sheriff Posse Association. She has testified multiple times at our State Capitol on behalf of the Groundwater Coalition, for parental rights, and homeschooling issues. Lynette also volunteers at ten different food bank locations, the PTO at NVMS, plays percussion for two community bands that perform around the county, is regularly involved with more than a dozen local churches, has provided elder assistance for 18 years in addition to caring for her own parents – her father having had Alzheimers’, and being a homeschool mom for 15 years.
In addition to volunteer efforts, Lynette has practical work experience also. She and her family live at the same property on which she helped her parents with their family-run dairy farm, she also worked for a restaurant, a shooting sports optics company, an electrical and mechanical engineer, a gas and electric utility, an appliance repair shop, helped her son with his small engine repair business, and has 20 years experience in property management and maintenance.
